Pre-Treatment Care

Injections carry the risk of swelling and bruising. We cannot always prevent these side effects but some steps you can take to reduce your risk include:

  • Avoiding alcohol, exercise, caffeine and cigarettes for 24-48 hours before treatment.

  • Discontinue use of Aspirin, ibuprofen or other NSAIDS, Gingko Biloba, Garlic, Vitamin A, Vitamin E, or any oil supplements at least 3 days to 1 week before treatment and 3 days to1 week post treatment. (Consult your physician prior to stopping anything listed if theses are prescribed medications)

  • Start taking arnica supplements 1 week pre treatment
